Wear your shades on May 6, 2010 to bring hope and awareness to eye disabilities.
Pay $1 to wear your cool shades for the day at your participating high school or middle school!

On October 3, 2009 the Edith Bishel Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired will announce
the winners of their Twilight Saga: "New Moon" Character Look-A-Like Contest
at the Barnes & Noble New Moon Book Fair. Please join us as the New Moon Wolf Pack
growls and rips off their t-shirts and Twilight fans of all ages go crazy. Purchase any item
at Barnes & Noble on October 3rd and mention our center and 10% to 20% of the proceeds will be
donated to this event.

The Haunting of Ainsworth at Sacajawea State Park, Fridays and Saturdays during the month of October,
7:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Come and have a scary fun time, the cost is $8.00 per person, there will be Food
and Drink concessions available. Proceeds will benefit local charities, including the Edith Bishel Center.

November 20, 2009:Twilight Saga: "New Moon" at the Richland Red Lion
Welcome all hearts, beating or not ~ join the Cullen family and all of your favorite
Twilight characters on November 20th from 6 pm to 11 pm at the Richland Red Lion for a benefit fundraiser for the Edith Bishel
Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired. We invite you to dance the night away
and have your picture taken with Edward, Bella, and other Twilight cast look-a-likes. Our Twilight guests will have
access to exclusive Twilight vendors filled with popular Twilight goodies and gifts with a chance to become a member
of the Cullen Coven complete with vampire bite marks.
Tickets are $35 a person and include the Cullen Coven Family Buffet, one glass of wine or soda and a slice of Bella's
birthday cake (you can even help Bella blow out her birthday candles). Every ticket purchased enters you for a chance to win one of
four exclusive Twilight charm bracelets!
A "New Moon" silent auction and "Full Moon" raffle with many Twilight coveted treasures will be held during the event.
Tickets for both the New Moon event and a midnight movie showing of New Moon
can be purchased at either the Richland Red Lion or the Edith Bishel Center in Kennewick.

Luau Maka Le'a at the Horn Rapids Club House
As we embark on a new fun and exciting fundraiser we hope to raise much needed money for our non-profit agency.
August 30, 2008 we will host a traditional and authentic Hawaiian Luau at the Horn Rapids Club House at sunset.
Hawaiian dancers and musicians will entertain us while we feast upon a spectacular Hawaiian buffet. Pupus, Mai Tais and entertainment start
at 6:00 pm with dinner at 7:30 pm Aloha time.
Fantastic silent and live auctions will follow with emcee Paul Roy of Coldwell Banker Realty. Tickets are $50 each. Tickets sold by August 15th will be entered to win a vintage
limo ride for four people to and from the event by Four Star Limo (Tri-Cities area).
Casual Aloha attire.
