Dinner in the Dark 2017

We are so excited to officially announce that our 2017 Dinner in the Dark will be on September 30th at the Red Lion Hotel in Pasco.

For those of you who haven’t been before, the event is called “Dinner in the Dark” because all our guests will eat their dinner while blindfolded. This event is not only about raising funds for the Edith Bishel Center, but also about creating awareness, giving each guest a momentary glimpse of what it is like to be in the shoes of someone who is blind.

This year we will feature live music from Straight Up Jazz, casino tables hosted by the Pasco Lions Club, a silent auction and of course, a blindfolded dinner. This semi-formal event is one you won’t want to miss.

Tickets are $50 each and all proceeds benefit the Edith Bishel Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired.

You can purchase tickets at the center, over the phone and online at by clicking HERE. A small service fee applies to all online ticket purchases.

This is our only large fundraising event this year. We ask that you show your support by joining us for this fun filled evening.

Thank You

A Special Thanks to the Northwest Lions Foundation for Sight & Hearing for their generous grant to the Edith Bishel Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired

This grant provided funds for all new computers for every office staff member. All of the old computers were very outdated, falling apart and no longer meeting the growth needs of the Center. The new computers have allowed us to be more effective and efficient in our daily use to meet the information and practical needs of our clients.

The Edith Bishel Center is so thankful for the continued partnership with the Northwest Lions Foundation for Sight & Hearing!
