Patrice Johnson really enjoyed her job as a truck driver for a local Washington company. Driving gave her the opportunity to see different parts of the country and enjoy the freedom of the open road. She looked forward to the occasional crosscountry drive that would take her to the east coast. She especially loved going there in the fall when the colorful leaves on the trees were most vibrant.

The Edith Bishel Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired is excited to announce the arrival of our new Executive Director Daniel Lipparelli.
Mr. Lipparelli joins us from Reno, Nevada where he oversaw multi departments for a private health club. He brings over 13 years of management experience, including eight at the executive level. Mr. Lipparelli founded and directed a successful non-profit organization in East Africa that provided monthly care for over 500 at-risk teen mothers, orphans, widows, and children with disabilities. He is highly skilled in program development and implementation, staff development, fundraising, grant writing, and public speaking. Mr. Lipparelli promises to lead the Edith Bishel Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired to a new level of excellence while continuing to provide outstanding services and programs to our community.
A Special Thanks to the Northwest Lions Foundation for Sight & Hearing for their generous grant to the Edith Bishel Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired
This grant provided funds for all new computers for every office staff member. All of the old computers were very outdated, falling apart and no longer meeting the growth needs of the Center. The new computers have allowed us to be more effective and efficient in our daily use to meet the information and practical needs of our clients.
The Edith Bishel Center is so thankful for the continued partnership with the Northwest Lions Foundation for Sight & Hearing!
A special thanks to all of the sponsors who's contributions made our Beep Baseball event a HUGE success! We could not do what we do without the generous support from our caring community.
